Re: Voiding an improvement

Go to the Accounting menu - Depreciation and select Asset Depreciation. Place dot under the Depreciable Items for Structures. Indented from the original structure name will display the Improvement name that was given. Jot this name down. Click OK or Cancel to close this window. Now click on the Accounting Menu - GL - Accrual Reports and click on Trial Balance. Scroll through the Asset section and click on the Yellow folder for the Building and Structures. Listed will be all the Structure names along with the Depreciable Improvements to Structures. Click the magnifying Glass button for the improvement that needs to be voided. Click the magnifying glass button for the journal entry. Click the Void Menu and select Void Transaction. Once that has been voided, close the TB and then should be able to edit the original Structure transaction that you are trying to correct, as long as it has been recorded in year that is still open.
